My last pool guy just stopped coming when he was supposed to. Pink Pools has always been there when they were supposed to and they do a good job. That's really all you want in a pool service.

I had a pool that I could not figure out how to take care of in our house we rent in Scottsdale. It came to the point where i gave up for a month and just let it go "green". It was bad. There were polly wogs forming, misquitos looming, tons of algae; its was its own eco sysytem- in a bad way. So after my landlord told me "all you have to do is put tons of chlorine in it & no i wont pay for a pool service", I told my wife I dont care what it costs, I will pay for a pool man.

So, she researched some online and found a few, but if given the choice she wanted to go with one that was "environmentally minded". After emailing and calling for quotes on what it would cost, she only got one response. It was the same day and it was a Sunday. So, Allen, from Pink Truck Pools, called me and I was at first surprised that he had called us the same day and then that it was a Sunday. So, he asked if he could come out that afternoon and look at the pool to see how bad it was. I said of course, and later on that afternoon he came out about 4 PM and looked at the pool. The look on his face said it all, and so I said I know its bad, but just give me an estimate and lets go from there. He said the first month was free but after that he would like to sign me up for a monthly service. So I knew there was a catch; like a two year agreement, I had to buy alll his chemicals, or somtething weird. But he assurred me that I could cancel at anytime, no year minimum, nothing strange, just service for pay. He did ask if we could reccommend him and Pink truck pools if we liked his service and if he could have the landlord's name so when we moved out he could possibly continue his service.
So, of course I obliged.

After the initial shock of seeing our pool, Allen said that he would be back first thing in the morning with his chemicals, tools and worktruck. So, just as stated I heard our gate open just before 8 AM and he was there with his notebook, chemicals, water testers, etc... hard at work. Being in the service industry myself, I knew we had the right guy. He started scooping out algae and putting it into a box, and I said he could use the trash can, but he told me he used it in a big garden he had. So, the environment thing was true.

For the next three weeks, he showed up about every other day, sometimes twice in one day and had his notebook, pool chemicals, water readings, and worked hard at getting our pool back to clean. At the end of the three weeks I told him that I was going to pay him for his first month because I had seen him putting a lot of work and time into our pool and it did not feel fair to have the first month free. But he refused. He did state that after he had a colleague come out and inspect our equipment that some theings needed to be updated. Our sand in our filter was not working properly. Our pump needed some things. So I called my landlord and stated all this and in typical landlord fashion he said, "Just put more chlorine in it; I got that equipment at a garage sale and it works fine." Yeah, obviously.

So, anyhoo, the pool was clean and is still clean a month after I told Allen that basically, my landlord is moving back in, in three months. He won't want any service, so I will pay you for what you did and the next two months if you want, but Allen refused any pay and just asked for a testimonial and if we would recommend him and his service.

I would use Allen and Pink Truck Pools, they answered every question my wife and I had; and if he didn't know the answer he would research and come back to us (like when we asked about salt water pools) and let us know what he found out. Allen was professional, hard working, pleasant, and very easy to deal with. I highly recommend Pink Truck Pools. If you saw our pool before and after, you would use Pink Truck Pools as well.

I can't believe how organized and timely you guys have been so far. The only time I have had any trouble with the pool is just after a storm, but even then you have been there within a day or so to get it back looking tip top. Thanks for following through...
